gif8: looks dreadful. The colour palette is so limited that noise has come through. the colour saturation is nearly nonexistent.It looks like a strange painting,rather than a photo.

Jpegmed: the quality of this jpeg is seemingly of the same high quality of the above jpeg. It is easier to look at beacsue it does not have th enoise of the giff.
